The Love of Keeping Home

Thursday, February 2, 2012

We love because He first loved us...

Love: is an action word. One can say it, feel it and claim it...but it's meaning is intended to be lived out by action.

It's chilly outside today, so let's enjoy something warm...

I love blueberries, dates and walnuts in my oatmeal. And it fills me up! yay. Perfect for chilly dreary days such as today.

Of course, you can skip the bowl and go straight to oatmeal cookies, too. Cookies and coffee...I say "yum."

We run after love in many forms.

Chasing after it in adolescence; creating atmosphere with paper notes and candy hearts. We long for the feel of love. The touch of warmth; compassions embrace; winks from the doorway...all that beat to our hearts.

Songs imprinted on our hearts sing lyrics of time and memories.
Today, perhaps love appears different than what was imagined all those years ago.

The picture of Love: Loves actions: Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you...walk in love. ephesians 4:31 and 5:2
...beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience, bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other, as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.

The fruit we should bare: Love

Joy

peace

patience

kindness

goodness
faithfulness
gentleness
self control

May this month be of love and empathy.
