The first weekend of fall

"A happy heart makes the face cheerful..." proverbs 15:13

When the weather is going to be 90 for probably the final time this year.....
Spend the weekend outside and enjoy these last beautiful warm days.

On chilly evenings light a fire in the backyard fire pit or chiminea and have dinner beside it at your outside dinning table. It's fun to eat outside with a warm fire beside.

These days are gifts and we should be enjoying each day, moment by moment, embracing His gifts of grace that are laid out before us in every situation.

I read recently, that when God is trying to say something of importance to us we often encounter stumbling blocks placed in out path. We often times experience disappointment which causes one to lay lowly and then discouragement may follow. Disappointment and discouragement enables us to take our eyes off Him and begin to think and act internally. This can breed feelings of deep heart ache and depression. Even if only for a little while, it is time wasted. Time when we should have been listening to His voice directing our daily walk. Time when He desires to nourish our hearts and bless our faithfulness.
Abiding in Him each grace given moment strengthens ourselves
from falling away even if for brief periods of time.
The enemy is waiting and hoping one to fall away out
of despair and discouragement so he can move in and destroy.
Even if he captures our attention for one afternoon, one day,
one week or months on end...that indeed is time given
to the enemy and precious time not
spent with our Lord.

To combat this from becoming our reality it's important to put on the armor of God. When we spend time in His word passionately each day He speaks to us. When spending daily time taking our thanks and worship to Him in prayer, the path is drawn more clearly for us to see and follow.

We are His beloved and He desires our hearts to be given fully yet tainted to Him. He wants to wipe away our tears and lessen our burdensome hearts of sorrow. He wants to engulf us and hold us dearly in the palm of His hand. He is our shelter, He is our comfort, He is our redeemer.

Blessing to those who walk in His light. Prayer for those whose walk is not yet lit.
Have a wonderful weekend
